Texas Toad Flax (Linaria texana)
Annual/biennial,
prefers sandy, well drained soil. Requires full sun. Drought-tolerant.
Blooms in early spring (this photo was taken in the Voca area in early March).
Larval food for Buckeye Butterfly.
According to some sources, the leaves can be applied externally to treat hemorrhoids. USING ANY PLANT IN ANY WAY IS NOT ADVISED UNLESS YOU ARE TRAINED.
